KOA Care Camps

KOA largeWe are thrilled to partner with both KOA Campgrounds and KOA Care Camps!  We could not think of a better match made from Heaven, really.  Let us tell you why…

KOA Care Camps is the sister charity of KOA Campgrounds.  The Care Camps allow children living with cancer to enjoy the joy, healing and freedom that comes from attending specialized summer camps where they can just be themselves. Surrounded by other kids just like them, they swim, go on hikes, sing songs and create memories that help get them through the tough times. They heal physically and emotionally, and hope flourishes.  We’ll be donating a portion of all book sales at KOA events to help more kids attend these amazing camps.  We’re all visiting several camps to give unforgettable rides on the tandem to these special children, deliver cool gifts and remind them how special they really are.  If you are looking for a solid, respected charity to donate financially or by volunteering look no further.  This organization is making a big difference!

We invite you to make a difference in the lives of these children.  Donate to KOA Care Camps today.

KOA Campgrounds

KOA Campgrounds will be hosting our family and our Heartland Mobile Basecamp on our entire journey in 35 different campgrounds.  The beauty of KOA is the trusted consistency of quality, amenities and great people.  We know that every stop will deliver the perfect family mini-vacation spot with pools, safe places to bike, games, activities and connection to Mother Nature!  And with so many other families all doing the same, our kids learn valuable social skills while giving us parents some time for “us”.  If you are considering a family vacation anywhere in the USA consider the perfect mix of nature, amenities and great people with a KOA vacation.

Book Reviews

“Bianchini’s A Bicycle Built for Two Billion is not about the bike. It’s a life odyssey of epic proportions. Few of us live from the heart. Jamie reminds us how.”   –– Les Stroud (Survivorman)

Very pleasantly surprised with this book! Bianchini takes a big bite outta life in this adventure (and sometimes pays the price). His honesty is well, honest and his heart seems to be fixed in just the right place. This is definitely ‘feel good’ terrain but with a goal in mind. I highly recommend “A Bicycle
