Book Tour

Family Book Tour

Releasing a book is just the first step! Promotion is just as important to get the message out there. With the support of Heartland RV I’m taking a Heartland Mobile Base Camp with my wife, our son Luca (4) and daughter Candela (2) on a ‘Family Book Tour’ through over 30 states and 12,000+ miles in about 5 months!

See the full Book Tour Itenerary and schedule here.

We’ll be stopping in cities all over the US to give multimedia talks and book signings at clubs, libraries, book stores, bike shops, schools, campgrounds, churches —whoever wants a dose of positive, fun-loving energy delivered from the stories and images we’ll be sharing.

Family Book Tour

Coming to a city near you!

And, in the spirit of our original Peace Pedalers project, our Family Book Tour will be open invitation! Yep, our towing vehicle seats 8 and our trailer sleeps 10. So we are sharing the family adventures with strangers who will soon become friends after a few good meals, tandem bike rides, Hot Wheels races with Luca or artistic escapes with Candela. Of course, don’t forget the slumber party pillow fights. Feel free to rally your community and invite us to share our stories in your town. We’d be honored to visit your crew and have you join the fun.

See the Events Calendar for our upcoming talks, book signings, bike rides and community events. We hope to see you on the road this spring or summer!

We are also looking for volunteers to help out with our book tour events! If we will be stopping near you would you like to play a part in journey? We need people who can contact local media, put up posters, hand out flyers and generally spread the word before we arrive, and then help out during events as well… interested? click here

"A Bicycle Built for Two Billion" by Jamie Bianchini

Book Reviews

“Bianchini’s A Bicycle Built for Two Billion is not about the bike. It’s a life odyssey of epic proportions. Few of us live from the heart. Jamie reminds us how.”   –– Les Stroud (Survivorman)

An exhilarating debut memoir that chronicles a fallen entrepreneur’s eight-year world tour on a tandem bike. Bianchini’s extraordinary chronicle begins with his often tumultuous childhood and showcases his enduring love of bicycle-riding. He sometimes felt overshadowed by his large extended Northern California family, which fractured when his parents divorced, but his outings on his bike

Once I started reading I just couldn’t put it down. The story ended up being so much more than I had expected…more engaging, more unpredictable, more emotional. Jamie shares his own life journey even as he shares a perspective of the world few of us get to see in any country let alone many across

Total Adventure “Even though I already had a connection to this book because I had met Jaimie and Garryck in Japan, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the writing and story layout was. I read 100 pages the first day, simply because I couldn’t put it down! Both then and now, Jaimie has reminded

Very pleasantly surprised with this book! Bianchini takes a big bite outta life in this adventure (and sometimes pays the price). His honesty is well, honest and his heart seems to be fixed in just the right place. This is definitely ‘feel good’ terrain but with a goal in mind. I highly recommend “A Bicycle
